We Still Believe

The Lumbee Tribe 37 Stock Department hosted a Back-to-School drive

As summer is winding down, today was a great day to get prepared for school while still enjoying the end of summer. The Lumbee Tribe 37 Stock Department hosted a Back-to-School drive for our Hawkeye Sands and Red Hill apartments residents. The children received bookbags filled with school supplies as well as other items such as shirts and pens from other vendors on site. The event encourages our school age children to strive for excellence in education and good behavior. We want to thanks our community partners for helping make this event a huge success. Those include Robeson County Health department, Stop the Pain, C.O.R.E. and Hoke County Commissioner Tony Hunt for their donations to the families. Chairman Lowery stopped by to visit with the children while they enjoyed some fun on a water slide. The chairman also gave them a Back-to-School Pep Talk.
