We Still Believe

Thank you to our Social Com. and everyone who participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness Spirit

Thank you to our Social Committee and everyone who participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness Spirit Week. Breast Cancer has impacted almost everyone in our tribal family. Statistics state that one in eight women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. A man’s risk is much lower, but about 1 in 833 men will get breast cancer in his lifetime.

We hope all of our Lumbee Tribe citizens will take time often to think about our health. Are you doing routine preventive screenings, are we eating healthier and are we exercising weekly to be our best for our families? Sometimes genetics can take charge, but we can play a key role daily in better health! One day at a time. Thank you to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office and Major Tammy Deese for bringing out the Breast Cancer Awareness Car during this effort to bring awareness.
