Thank you to Cassondra Searight, Diversity and Inclusion Officer in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security Service, and Assistant Secretary Gentry O. Smith, Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security, for sharing two days with the Lumbee Tribe and a wealth of information about potential opportunities. Today, Tribal Chairman Lowery presented Cassondra with an Eagle feather for her service to her Lumbee People and to our nation. This visit, which showcased opportunities with the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, is one of eight similar events that will be presented in four communities across the United States and four overseas this year by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
