Purnell Swett High Beta Club Members Recognized by Lumbee Tribal Council at March Meeting
Congratulations to the Purnell Swett High School students who recently participated in the NC Beta Club State Convention. The students were recognized and received a standing ovation at the March Lumbee Tribal Council Business Meeting. A number of the students won awards at the state competition. 25 students went to the convention.

The following students also placed and earned a chance to compete at the National Beta Convention in June: Alexis Lowry - Mixed Media/ 4t place and Recyclable Art/5th place Amaya Bullard - Jewelry / 1st place - Champion Anna Hunt - Performing Arts, Solo, Duo Trio Vocalists / 1st place - Champion. Anna also earned a Golden Ticket meaning she will be a part of the Premier Performers at the National Convention. Anna is also Teen Miss Lumbee
