Lumbee Cultural Workshop Participants Complete Pinecone Patchwork Ornament

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Lumbee Cultural Workshop Series on Monday. Our participants completed their Pinecone Patchwork Ornament. Thank you to Lumbee Artist and legend Hayes Alan Locklear for sharing of his Pinecone Patchwork knowledge. It was a great time of fellowship and cultural sharing. Thank you parents for bringing out your children to learn about Lumbee Culture, to drum and dance. Our babies are having a time.

If you were unable to attend this workshop, we are planning to host a similar Pinecone Patchwork workshop in the fall. Also thank you to parents who brought food to bless everyone. These workshops are held every Monday of each month (excluding holidays). They are open to all ages and are free. Each month will focus on a new topic / skill. Registration is not required for the dancing and drumming workshop.
