Governor Roy Cooper hosted the Governor’s Round Table with State-Recognized Tribes

This week, offered a great opportunity to look at issues affecting Native People in North Carolina as Governor Roy Cooper hosted the Governor’s Round Table with State-Recognized Tribes. We say Thank you to Governor Cooper for including us in budget. State-recognized Tribes will receive $10 million dollars. We are thankful to him for opening doors for true inclusion to have the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. recognized at Ft. Fisher. Also, Thank you to Michelle Lanier for initiating the opportunity of true inclusion at Ft. Fisher.
