Congratulations to the Winners of the Lumbee Tribe of NC Writing Competition and Art Competition

Congratulations to the winners of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina Creative Writing Competition and Art Competition. This video is a glimpse into the passion they put behind their artwork and writing pieces. The award winners were announced Thursday at the Lumbee Tribal Council Meeting. The theme of the Creative Writing Competition was “I am important”.

The Creative Writing Winners are: Camryn Gray Clark - 5th Grade Hayle Ann Locklear - 7th Grade Morgyn Skye Clay - 10th Grade Each winner will receive $50.00 each.

The theme for the Art Competition was Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women MMIW The winners are: Camryn Gray Clark - 5th grade - $50.00 Kendyll Zoe-Lee Clay - 5th grade - $30.00

Overall Winner: Keely Renee Oxendine - 12th grade - $120.00 First Runner up: Jordyn Paige Lowery - 12th grade – $70.00 Second Runner up: Savannah Nicole Clay - 9th grade - $30.00 Third Runner up: Anileigh Rose Locklear - 9th grade - $25.00 Fourth Runner up: Jaylen Blayze Jacobs - 9th grade - $20.00 Fifth Runner up: Morgan Skye Clay - 10th grade - $5.00
